To answer your question YES many many women in his episodes either leave all the finances to the man (see the episode where the husband took out a $100k loan without telling his newly wed wife or the other episode where the husband hid the fact that they were over $500k in debt) it’s just a MESS

Girllllll I watched this episode a few weeks ago and WOW. This is such a common dynamic of the woman being a higher Warner and the man not. But yeah I have the same sentiment as the wife. I’m not giving you a gold start for doing EXACTLY what I did every month.

A man is not a financial plan. It does not matter if he’s rich, or if he makes a lot of money. Ramit’s podcast shows that, regardless of how big or small the income is, it’s really the mindset that determines how people manage their money. What baffles me with these couples is that the women are not taking any consideration to at least be informed about the financial decisions that their husbands are making. Personally, I would want to be informed and involved in my household finances. However, even if you decided that one person is going to be primarily responsible for managing the money it doesn’t mean that you stay ignorant of what decisions are being made.

What saddens me that so many of the women featured on the podcast are actively ignoring their own instincts, just to ask assuage the ego of their partners.

These women are gonna be in for a rude awakening if they don’t start taking control of their finances

I've had to force a 31 year old man to be a responsible adult this past year, and let me tell you, I'm exhausted. The man is still not responsible and gets jealous when his friends can afford things he can't...His mindset is if he can't spend money then there isn't a point in living, he's not going to work to just pay bills.
