The Email I Sent YouTube's Legal Department About My Year of Terrorism from the Manosphere

YouTube, Mark Robinson, and Tieshka Smith should be deeply ashamed.

As someone who shares strong opinions publicly, I expect criticism, and even harsh or unkind rebukes. What has stunned me since 2022 is the persistence and shamelessness of Robinson’s lies.

I hadn’t watched this video in years until last night. With some distance, I couldn’t help but laugh at Tieshka’s question, “Where’s her man?” The answer? Right beside me, then and now.

All I can muster is bemused pity toward these people since I’ve gained greater clarity on the depths of their misfortune. Only profound desperation could push people well into their fifties, people who think of themselves as educated, to behave this way. The one silver lining is that this encounter made me completely reimagine the kind of career I want. I’d sooner die than reach middle age bitterly name-calling younger women for Cash Apps through jealous, gritted teeth. It’s a truly chilling thought.

My only interest here is accuracy. Neither of these people has the power to harm me. Adults who cannot manage their own reputations certainly cannot threaten mine.

The story is dead, just like the manosphere. Years of Robinson's banal provocations have validated my arguments against it. He needs an “enemy” to distract from his specious claims and rally his meager audience. He set out to humiliate me; instead, he proved me right.

Though I haven’t mentioned either involved party in nearly two years, multiple times a week, I hear he’s attacked me somewhere, always personally. Once, apparently, it was my mother, an extremely offline electrical engineer. Only jealousy explains that.

The fixation is Robinson’s alone. He’s practically begging for another prolonged engagement from me. He has no choice but to keep trying to claw his way up my back, grasping for attention he could never command otherwise. Let him. I’ll continue to reserve my most rigorous arguments for consequential subjects and important actors.

Finally, you know what we have now that we didn’t three years ago? Multimodal LLMs that instantly transcribe text from images. I’m attaching both the email text and the screenshots. Consider the clock reset. We’ve got about 18 months before I address this again.

For the past year, YouTube creator [REDACTED] (aka Mark Robinson) has cyberstalked, bullied, and harassed me and my romantic partner, [REDACTED]. Since January 2023, [REDACTED] published over 40 long and short-form videos (Source: [REDACTED]’s Uploads About Me from January 2023-January 2024) about me filled with derogatory and offensive language, including “bitch,” “whore,” “hoe,” “skank,” “cunt,” “peabrain,” “birdbrain,” “idiot,” “dummy,” “stupid,” and “lying.”

Despite several reports of [REDACTED]’s violations of YouTube community guidelines, including repeated targeted harassment and ridicule, he maintains the ability to monetize his YouTube channel, including videos that are not only offensive but inappropriate and have caused me great distress.

In this clip from a video published on June 8, 2023, [REDACTED] states that he continues to cyberstalk and harass me because I use “inflammatory rhetoric.” Note that since March, [REDACTED] consistently broadcasts multi-hour live streams that repeatedly feature the most disgusting clips from [REDACTED]

[REDACTED]’s Pattern of Harassing Black Women Online

For several months, [REDACTED] has stated that he is intentionally harassing me for speaking out against the Passport Bros movement in a video published on the For Harriet YouTube channel on January 9, 2023.

[REDACTED] posted this comment on his YouTube community page on January 13, 2024. In it, he writes, “...that’s what she gets for making up lies about the Passport Bros...”

[REDACTED] has harassed Black women on various platforms for nearly a decade. In this video, he admits to doxxing the YouTuber Chrissie. Author Sophia Nelson detailed his years-long harassment of her in this video published on March 15, 2017. Also, on March 18, 2017, YouTuber/Journalist Christelyn Karazin claimed [REDACTED] published her home address and phone number.

On her Twitter account in 2015, Feminista Jones detailed how [REDACTED] harassed and stalked her.

She writes: “[REDACTED] and I were supposed to do a radio show together. He tried to flirt and butter me up. I rejected his offer. He couldn’t accept ‘no’, so he kept going back and forth, despite me continuing with my rejection of his offer. That began his obsession. Like a man on the street whose “holler” goes ignored, he had to lash out and call me names for rejecting him.”

[REDACTED] corroborates Jones’ account in a blog post, “Feminista Jones: A Retrospective,” published on May 6, 2020.

Privately, YouTuber [REDACTED] has expressed to me that [REDACTED] also been harassing her.

[REDACTED] himself has confirmed this pattern. In his comment on his channel’s YouTube community tab on January 13, 2024, he stated, “...this isn’t the first Black woman I’ve taken out... [REDACTED] and she’s not the last.”

Doxxed and Targeted My Partner Malcolm

In the comments of a video called Professional Matchmaker Explains Why Kimberly Nicole Foster is Really ButtHurt LOL published on June 12, 2023, [REDACTED] stated his desire to doxx my romantic partner.

I emailed [REDACTED], a partner [REDACTED] at YouTube, on August 10, 2023, about my concerns that [REDACTED] would begin harassing my romantic partner. [REDACTED] previously detailed in [REDACTED] during a one-on-one meeting for the creator residency program I’ve been a part of since the summer the enormous mental distress [REDACTED]’s actions had caused and how that distress had deterred me from making content and producing income.

On October 25, 2023, in a comment to me, [REDACTED] reiterated that he was going to harass Malcolm until I stopped critiquing the Black manosphere.

That same day, I emailed [REDACTED], YouTube Research Program Manager, about [REDACTED]’s additional actions to cyberstalk, bully, and harass Malcolm. On October 29, 2023, [REDACTED] published this post on his YouTube community page, bizarrely taking aim not at Malcolm’s ideology but his fashion sense. The post contains an image taken from Malcolm’s Instagram account.

On November 5, 2023, he published this post that contains a screenshot of one of two DMs he sent Malcolm on September 16, 2023. [REDACTED] stated that he would continue to harass Malcolm on Instagram and Facebook to confront him about his tweets critiquing the manosphere.

Abuse of YouTube’s Copyright Detection System

Since November 2023, [REDACTED]’s live-in girlfriend, Tieshka Smith, has threatened me with legal action for discussing her simultaneous work for the Black Manosphere and Social Justice organizations. She continues to file fraudulent copyright claims on my videos, despite my content [REDACTED] being protected by fair use, section 107 of the copyright act. Publicly and privately, [REDACTED] details how he intends to use the legal system to continue his harassment.

My YouTube channel currently has two erroneous copyright strikes. I believe strongly that YouTube should allow Texas’ federal district courts to decide the matter.

It’s deeply concerning that while [REDACTED]’s many actionable violations of YouTube’s community guidelines have not hampered his ability to profit from cyberbullying, stalking, and harassing me and several others, I am precariously close to having my channel terminated for publishing a detailed, lawful response to his actions.

When I have attempted to report the misuse of my content on [REDACTED]’s channel, my claims have never been validated.

I genuinely love creating YouTube videos and am fortunate to have made this a career. Still, at every attempt to address the harm [REDACTED] has done to me over the past 12 months, I have been extraordinarily disappointed by YouTube’s inaction. This platform has effectively funded my year of terror and emboldened [REDACTED] to stalk, harass, taunt, and bully Malcolm and me. This cannot continue.
