I really enjoy Sabrina’s perspective and her cheeky songwriting. Her ability to seamlessly flow between genres while still remaining authentic to her has been refreshing. The album has no skips. I felt the same as you upon first hearing and of course most of the tracks grew on me. It went from an 8 to a 9.

As for Sabrina’s vocals, I’ve noticed newer fans have been underestimating her ability and I can understand why. These new tracks do not show even half of what she is capable of.

She’s a well trained vocalist with a four octave range, versatility, and a lot of control (see her covering Jazmin Sullivan’s In Love with Another Man, or Tori Kelly) she use to be belting out well into fifth octave effortlessly. When she does her R&B runs and rifts live they are probably some of my favorite moments from her.

Let’s remember she has Broadway experience which would give her stamina and a strong foundation. Tbf she does have her moments…but her ability to maintain intonation and stamina while moving and dancing without an auto tuned mic, or any other sound processing and engineering interference live, is actually pretty solid.

She was made to be a vocal powerhouse at her previous label. Disney wanted their version of Ariana. Don’t count her out.

She’s been singing Slim Pickins live and they both were done well.

She sang Slim Pickins live already before the album release I thought she did well I think I like the live performance slightly better than the recording

Julian Bunetta did songwriting and production with One Direction, and later with Niall on his solo stuff, so he knows how to make some catchy music
