Thank you Kim. Been having the Christmas blues and haven't listened to a single song all season. The grief for my mom always intensifies this time of year. Thanks for this ♥️
I have an ever growing Black artists only (and George Michael) playlist for this very reason. I stack it with newer Black Christmas songs. Preserving warm black celebratory history is impossible. And also the old Black Christmas music had real musicality and beautiful vocals!
Kim- I love this! You have a fine ear for music and as a millennial, your pop culture references and tastes are spot on. Wishing you and your loved ones a warm holiday(s). Hoping to join you one day in Texas at one of your events. Much love from California <33
My favorite song you have played is ‘Silent Night by The Temptations.’ I remember listening to it for the first time as a kid and imagining someone pulling up in a new car with a big bow on it, blasting this song. I need to make it happen soon. Thanks for the great classic Christmas throwbacks, Kim <33

My favorite song from part one is “This Christmas” by Donnie Hathaway. “Warm” is the perfect descriptor ❤️ Happy holidays black folk!!! ✨
